I can take this one. Also - any thoughts on covering other topics besides TrueCrypt? Is TC "good enough"? What about mentioning LUKS partitioning on Linux?

I think I heard from various places that a lot of reputable security people trust TrueCrypt, but you should find a proper source for this claim. They are also trying to raise funds for a proper security audit of their code: http://blog.cryptographyengineering.com/2013/12/an-update-on-truecrypt.html

Someone at 30c3 was talking about Tomb (tomb.dyne.org) as a Free alternative, but I haven't looked any closer at it.

This is about a year old now but it might be worth reaching out / starting a conversation: https://github.com/Punkbob/Cryptoparty/blob/master/apple_full_disk_encryption.md

I think there may be more updates to this chapter due following the news: http://boingboing.net/2014/05/29/mysterious-announcement-from-t.html
Thoughts?
