Add a simple way to provide content as text

I'm looking for a simple way to provide content just as a simple string, currently it seems to be only possible to provide text files/urls and attachments? It looks like this is currently not possible?

Like for a Rails model:

chat.ask("Summarize this text").with(document.body)

Wouldn't you just put that in the ask method?
