Matrix block types could be disabled without being deleted

Frequently, I wish I could disable the ability to create a Matrix block of a certain type — particularly if that block type is in development.

I don't want to delete the block type from the Matrix field, because that would also delete any Matrix Blocks of that type in the whole system.

I just need a way to temporarily keep content editors from creating a new block of that type. Having a little "enabled" toggle in the matrix block settings would be perfect.
