instruction about changing app name and icon

There are two types of app names.
the first type is the one that shows up in the launcher
the second is the one that shows up in the settings when listing installed apps

Change the app name in the launcher
android:label="The name that shows up in the launcher"

You can use programs like 
to help you change the second type of app name

just like there are two types of app name there are two types of icon 

The first type in the icon in the launcher icon, usually it has the word launcher in its name
to change the icon just rename your icon to the same name and copy and replace. note there are multable copies of icons or each resolution
ranging from 48 to 192 pixels 
here are the commands that help you find the files.
