I like this app and I used this app most on i3. Recently, I'm trying to switch from i3 to sway.

Do you have plans to support this app on the sway?

Currently there are no plans. I guess the i3 api should just work with sway but the window drawing that is currently done with xcb would need to be done for wayland. Any help would be appreciated :)

I think, we can leave it open. It is still an issue :)

For people looking for a similar tool with sway support, there's https://github.com/svenstaro/wmfocus

I think wmfocus appears to work on Wayland due to XWayland, but doesn't actually work. See the parallel ticket there about Sway support:

i3-easyfocus has been ported to Sway/Wayland:

https://github.com/edzdez/sway-easyfocus

But check the issues, there are still some missing features.
