**Chassis Material Information
Different parts of the chassis use different cores. The bulkhead and baseplate is made with a divinycell core. Every other part has a soric core. The weight calculations for the door’s weight is based on the density of impregnated soric core since the weight of carbon fiber is negligible. We use a 3 mm SF3 soric core. For CEV, one layer of core and two layers of carbon fiber is used for layups.

**Hinge Placement:
For a typical residential door, hinges are placed 5 to 7 inches from the top edge and 10 to 12 inches from the bottom edge. The height of a typical residential door is 80 inches.
