Here is the current proposal for the user journey! The steps will be the same for the web, just...in the web. I'll have another video of that soon.

There is one main question, and this is the final "review your order" page at the end. Currently we have 3 options

1. leave it has it is in our app: shows the actions completed and what is about to happen ("your order is awaiting confirmation!")
2. Have a map with a straight line between the two points and geolocation of the rider. This geolocation would be a feature that each cooperative can activate or not based on their desires. The line would be straight to avoid people saying "why didn't they take this route" which they did before and it was super annoying, so the straight line shows that it is indicative, not exact routing.
3. Have an animation in each stage of the process (a chef when its being prepared, a biker when its being picked up, etc) and a message saying "We like maps but also respect our couriers' privacy, so we don't use geolocation :) If you need more information about your order's status, call 666 666 666" or something like that. I'm imagining the animation bouncing around like the logos in old tvs inside the map area

Options 2 and 3 are compatible, and a cooperative could decide which they want

What a work !!! Very nice and intuitive to use. Can't wait to see that action.

Regarding the question, giving too much to client is perhaps not a good idea. The 3rd option is probably the good one : they have an idea of the progress but not the detail

Indeed, option 2 and 3 seem compatible : why not have the animation on the map ?

1. Chef's animation on the restaurant's location when order is being prepared,
2. Courier on a bike in between restaurant and customer location when the order was picked-up
3. Courier waiting at customer's door with the order when courier arriving at destination (<100m?)

While putting this up, I kind of realized how messy it looked. But I am not UI designer!
