Input and output element types are often used as template parameters of algorithms, while they can be obtained from the policy type. The element types are "overdefined" which make things confusing and hard to debug in case of inconsistencies. Just use the policy type to obtain the element types. This is already done in recent algorithms. Just use the same approach everywhere.
