I noticed that the Spring Boot Admin UI currently runs on PrimeVue 4 (primevue ^4.4.1 in spring-boot-admin-server-ui/package.json)
For teams looking to keep their frontend stack on an actively maintained community driven MIT foundation based on the 4.x lineage I wanted to share OpenVue
OpenVue is an open source fork based directly on PrimeVue 4.5.5 under the MIT license Because it maintains strict API component and theming parity with the 4.x base it serves as a drop in replacement allowing migration in just a few minutes without refactoring existing UI code
We recently reached our 1.0.0 stable release and are continuously maintaining and updating the codebase for the community
Since Spring Boot Admin is an Apache licensed project that many teams run in production having an actively maintained MIT option for the 4.x line might be worth considering as the frontend stack evolves
The migration is a single command that shows a plan first and asks before writing anything
npx @openvue/migrate
It renames the dependencies and rewrites the imports including @primevue/core and @primeuix/themes which you also use
Here are a few quick references if you would like to explore
