Vimperator & Keyboard Focus

I use Vimperator (http://vimperator.org) to have vim-style keybindings in Firefox.

I cannot, however, seem to control the cli-mode you've created, even when putting vimperator in Pass-Through mode (telling it to ignore all keystrokes and let them take their 'typical' affect). I really like this interface, and would love to see it work on Vimperator. It has been tried on 2 systems:

System 1: Ubuntu Linux 9.10, 32-bit/Firefox 3.5.8/Vimperator 2.2
System 2: Mac OS X 10.6.3/Firefox 3.6.2/Vimperator 2.2
