CELLxGENE Discover UX to support additional species in Q1. For this project, we only require the development filter to be updated or redesigned, to allow for complexity with the new species. Applications outside of Explorer would not be impacted, as Census work need to be completed primarily before CxG.

  • Update the developmental stage filter
  • Update species tab

Current Work in Progress:

  • Review and confirm cell type and tissue ontology structure for Q1
  • Decide how to display organism-specific ontology terms in the cell type column
  • Determine solution for labeling ontology terms, considering user experience
  • Ensure filtering functionality works as planned for the developmental stage filter
  • Review Uberon mapping for developmental stages with potential organism-specific adaptations
