Lidar Data Not Processing

Hi I have my .laz files downloaded from USGS TNM download but they are not being processed for some reason in Chad's tool program. The messages coming out are shown in the photo attached, along with the folder I am pulling the files from. I am very new to this, please let me know.

The site that the USGS uses to store data files on is down atm so I can't check that you are using the right EPSG (I do not think that is the issue). Just in case, you need more on the course, Google the course name and Golfpass, they list the courses deets.

You are also using a old version of the program, go here and get the W version

I downloaded and am using the new version of the program and also moved the folder to my pc and off one drive, yet I am still having the same issue. It seems to be not recognizing the projection data. I also added the .xml file now and did not have it in there before. The message reads:
Processing: USGS_LPC_OH_SOUTH_2007_001622.laz
EPSG is not map projection, skipping: 4326
Using metadata: USGS_LPC_OH_SOUTH_2007_001637.xml
Could not determine lidar projection, please report an issue and send this lidar and metadata
Alternatively, look for something called EPSG Value in Metadata and provide EPSG.

First off, you are using 2007 data when 2014 and 2025 data is available. Always use the latest data unless there has been a course reno, then use the data that matches the Bing imagery (or possibly even the Esri imagery IF it matches the LiDAR data used) on OSM. Using one of the .laz files LASTools says the correct EPSG of that course is 6551. The ONLY files you need in your course folder that you are working from is the .laz/.las files and a theme blank (Countryside) that matches the trees that are on your course to save on meter.

I've attached a .zip 2k25 version of the Countryside Theme file (you can do HiRes bunkers with it, you will need to use the heavy smoothing option in Chad's/TGC tool to get rid of the ripples) and a Word Doc file that I wrote on how to use LASTools to get the EPSGs from .laz/.las files.

IMO the best videos on how to do LiDARs is these, this is the link to part 1 of 3. It's for TGC 2019 but still applies except you no longer need to export the OSM file to your folder, the new program will get that info for you.

Say you were trying to do a renovation for architectural purposes and wanted to change existing features and contours. Is there a way to import a CAD file with those changes and then register in the final course model in PGA 2k25?

also a side note, can I generate an existing contour map of a course that is downloadable in CAD format using the LIDAR information in any way?
