Under HathiTrust Digital Library’s (HTDL) updated Metadata Sharing Policy users are free to harvest, modify and/ or otherwise make use of any metadata contained in HTDL unless restricted by contractual obligations residing with the parties that have contributed the metadata (“Depositing Institutions'') to HTDL.
To the extent that HTDL’s own contributions with regards to the metadata in HTDL may be protected by copyright, HTDL places them within the limits of Public Domain Dedication.
