Active node is shown when shift+click in 3D Viewer even if it's turned off in View Settings

I can partially replicate it. For me, toggling the 'Active Node' checkbox in the View Settings menu works as one would expect, but if navigating a skeleton with '[' and ']' it will always highlight the active node. Is that the behavior that needs fixing?
