There is a Board of Directors Handbook. We have not yet included it on this site because BoD is different from other community roles. Opening this issue to consider where we want to keep this document.

For reference, on a related note, The Carpentries Bylaws used to be in the Handbook. With the change in our governance, the Bylaws are no longer in the Handbook and are now in a PDF linked from the governance page of the new website.

Linking to the Google doc comment where @kariljordan recommended not including the Board of Directors handbook here. @kariljordan Do you want to consider including it somewhere else, or should it be an internal document only?

I thought more about this, and although the role has different requirements for appointment and onboarding, the information in the handbook is not privileged, so there is no issue with making it public. Let me know if you'd like me to submit a PR to add it to the handbook. Board of Directors Handbook
