Hi there,

Actually I don't need the UPS function from this HAT. The reason I bought it is just want it to be a portable power supply to power my Raspberry Pi 4 B.

I've tried disconnect the cable power from the Pi and press the button on the board. It doesn't work.
I've also tried power my Pi using cable power supply and then shutdown the Pi and then press the button on the board. It doesn't work.
I've also tried follow the instruction here https://www.pishop.us/raspberry-pi-ups-hat-guide/ and then shutdown the Pi and then press the button on the board. It doesn't work.

I guess the board can act as a portable power as advertised. So could you tell me how please.

Thanks,
