Get public key from certificate

Would it be acceptable to add an API that allows extraction of the used public key from a certificate?

This would be a very useful feature. Just making EndEntityCert.inner public would already go a long way. Unfortunately PR #87 seems a bit abandoned. Can we expect any progress here, or are you waiting for someone to pick this up.

Having to add another dependency just for parsing a certificate that was verified by webpki seems a bit unfortunate.

I had some questions in #87 (comment) that probably got overlooked. I'll try to find some time to rebase it and see if I can come up with answers to some of the questions myself, to give this another shot.
