Patch Failed on Google Pixel C (Kernel 4.9)

Is there a way to get support for the particular Pixel C Tablet?

This device boot.img magic is often detected as "CHROMEOS" by most tools (because the device was supposed to run ChromeOS apparently and has a lot of ChromeOS leftovers despite running Android).

When I try to patch the kernel, I get this error : image.c:63/get_kernel_info(); kernel image magic error

Tried the Android app, Windows kptool and WebUI version. All lead to the same results.
