Client side preview does not work for BMP files on Android: Native and Chrome browsers both

Hi,

For BMP images, on android phones, neither the thumbnail nor the preview seem to work. The thumbnail is empty and on clicking the thumbnail, the preview is empty as well. I tried using the demo site and I am able to observe the same behavior as mentioned above.

The BMP file thumbnail and preview works on Desktop Chrome and Firefox browsers.

Any help will be appreciated.

I'm marking this as a browser issue as rendering image formats is handled by the browser engine.
However I doubt this will ever change, as BMP is not a suitable web image format.
