[Proposal] Please add a setting to restrict the date range of IMAP accounts synchronising mails

Could you please add a setting to the accounts management that restricts the date range of mails to retrieve to a user settable range when synchronising mails from IMAP accounts (and maybe for the other account types too?).
Right now my old Yahoo account connects through IMAP and since it gets ALL mail, the loading times are intolerable right now 😉 performance is really suffering because of this.
