On #603, we rolled back the initial intent to support @jscutlery/semver GitHub releases.

Our GitHub configuration has the main branch protected, and that is causing an error when trying to create a new release in GitHub.

Semver already contemplates a solution to this problem

Our current implementation to push to the protected main branch is broken

Removing that in favor of using releases with Semver's suggestion of a bot could be the right move.
