As an example, fo a date entry in "DD/MM/YYYY" format the display would go as follows:

"DD/MM/YYYY"
"3"
"31/"
"31/1"
"31/12/"
"31/12/2"
"31/12/2021"

The current situation is as below and the user doesn't know if they are meant to type the slash character themselves.

"DD/MM/YYYY"
"3"
"31"
"31/1"
"31/12"
"31/12/2"
"31/12/2021"
