Litestream vs GCP regionally replicated disks #147
-
How does Litestream compare with using a GCP regional disk + hourly incremental snapshots? https://cloud.google.com/compute/docs/disks/repd-failover
If my primary VM goes down, I think the replica disk in the other zone will have a full SQLite file that is recoverable? (ignoring any replication issues or non committed transactions). |

Litestream is more of a logical replication (WAL) and Regional disks are physical replication (sectors).
If you can use both, you should as there is no excuse to avoid them on GCP. |
