The landing page for the course could be improved to make it more inviting or welcoming. How could we accomplish this? Here are a few ideas:

Insert photographs of students or teachers
Display random examples of activities/exercises
Create a map or timeline of new stories
Create a sign up form (for a Google Group or discussion forum)
