@klonos recommended we have a checklist of todo items for each backdrop live. Below is a brainstorm of things we could include in that list:

Website:

Create a new "event" node (where people can signup + register)
- Make sure registration is NOT allowed until you want people to register for the event
- Make this node is "promoted" on backdropcms.org (so that this event shows on the home page)
Create a new taxonomy term for the event (all presentations + discussions should be tagged with this term)
Update the presentations + discussions to default to this taxonomy term

Publicity:

Send a newsletter announcing the date
Schedule tweets to announce the date

Dates / Timelines

announce date of camp - registration opens on X date
announce date of presentations / topic ideas
