Can't Switch Profiles

Steps to reproduce the issue

All configured and valid AWS profiles should be available for selection when switching profiles in the AWS Toolkit for Visual Studio Code, similar to the functionality in the AWS Toolkit for IntelliJ IDEA.

Expected behavior

System details (run AWS: About and/or Amazon Q: About)

  • OS: macOS 14.6.1 (23G93)
  • Visual Studio Code version: 1.96.4 (Universal)
  • AWS Toolkit version: 3.44.0 2025 - 01 - 30
  • Amazon Q version: N/A

Just for clarification, do you only want to see the valid ones in the panel popup? And not the expired/invalid ones?

What is an example of a profile that isn't showing up?

  1. All my profiles are valid, but they are shown as invalid (except for the one in the "default" category).
  2. I tried to replace the profiles in other places with those in the "default" one. As a result, only the profiles placed in the "default" one are shown as valid.

In addition, I tried to completely uninstall Visual Studio Code, then redownload it and reinstall the AWS Toolkit plugin, but the result remains the same.
