with aws-sdk-java-v2 is it possible to set the aws endpoint as a property

with aws-sdk-java-v2 is it possible to set the custom aws_endpoint, aws_sts_endpoint, aws_s3_endpoint as a property. Specifically I want to set this property in application.yml file

The answer is threefold:

1. The Java SDK supports service-specific endpoint configuration in the format documented in the SDK Reference Guide - note the syntax is a little different (e.g. not aws_s3_endpoint but AWS_ENDPOINT_URL_S3 as environment variable and aws.endpointUrlS3 as Java property)
2. Support for service-specific endpoint configuration was added in Java SDK version 2.28.1 but we have a customer report saying it's not working properly - Service endpoint_url from config file ignored #5779.
3. You mentioned the use of application.yml so I'm assuming you want to use the custom endpoints in a solution that integrates with AWS (like Spring Boot). This will depend on the solution's implementation, our suggestion is to refer to the documentation of the solution you're using.

I am not able to override the end point using System.setProperty("aws.endpointUrl","http://127.0.0.1:4566/") or System.setProperty("aws.endpointUrlS3","http://127.0.0.1:4566/").. Also it is not working when I set the environment variables AWS_ENDPOINT_URL=http://127.0.0.1:4566;AWS_ENDPOINT_URL_S3=http://127.0.0.1:4566..

It is only working when we programmatically put as

.endpointOverride(URI.create("http://127.0.0.1:4566"))
