Too many samples for a component need independent scrolling

Grid grew a lot since I last saw it - and this creates an ugly user experience: selecting the list item of a sample that is way down off the page, results the information for that sample be displayed off the page as well (above the current location). The solution for this ought to be simple: the navigation bar that manages the list of samples has to scroll independently of the rest of the page.
