Until recently I noticed that project switched from usage of SDL2 to SDL3, which no matter what others comment, it's technically still in beta phase as of today.
Even its website hints so: https://wiki.libsdl.org/SDL3/Installation
As of today install instructions are crossed up due to not all distributions shipping it yet, despite the fact that most "popular" ones already do.
Still this leaves many distributions totally out, such as Debian 12 (stable, non bleeding edge).
I'm being curious, why the change?
Thanks.
