Every time you send email to users, you will have a certain amount they don't wanna have this mail.
If you have redmine install with a big userbase, it you can let configure for all roles redminding by one person.
Redminding (so getting email) shall be configurable by every user himself.

Sounds cool but it is not planned right now. Its a complete new feature and needs almost more programming then the basic module itself.
Unfortunatly we don't have that time right now but i will put it on the "Unplanned" milestone as a nice to have.

We've seen this too, would it not be possible for a user to be able to opt-out of reminders? Some of the guys on our projects don't want to receive the mails.

It would be very helpful to be able to define reciepient also via user/group and not only role.
Like jimthree said, and section to opt-out reciepients on the same selection (user/group/role) would be another part.

Concatenation of users bases on user, group and role selection should be additive.

Really looking foward for this features.
