I'm afraid that precise timing would not work out due to the slower rate of energy monitoring. I'd prefer having the limit switches wired up to the Tasmota device, but of course this may not be practical. |

Hello,
From what I understood from the documentation, in order to calibrate shutters and blinds, one needs to measure the time it takes to open and close the shutter and configure that in.
I was wondering if that could be automated using a current sensor, like in the Sonoff Dual R3, assuming the motor has limit switches.
The calibration process would roll the shutter up until the motor doesn't pull any current and define that as fully open, then roll the shutter all the way down and measure how long it takes until the motor hits the lower limit switch, i.e. stops pulling current again. We can roll it up once more to verify the results are similar, or just average the two.
One would still need to set the half-way point, if needed, but I believe that this procedure would greatly simplify the calibration process.
