ITOP Service Family is similar to group of CI's.

We are mapping Services to ogit/ITService/Service. However there is no mapping for Service Family.

An entity like ogit/ITService/ServiceFamily would be required to map this along with an edge with ogit/ITService/Service.

Thanks,
-Satish

New entity creation in course:
#169
Is there any existing verb you could propose to create the connection from ogit/Set to ogit/ITService/Service?

Hi Satish,
#169 was reverted since we should not have too general entities in a semantical ontology.
Since CI's could be represented by different entities (e.g. by MARSNode's), to get a set of specific CI's would be possible by searching for a specific type of entity with specified values in an attribute. E.g. checking some sort of "Type" attribute in the MARSNode.
It seems that there is no need for a specific entity for this purpose.
If nevertheless we could be talking about some sort of Catalog or Portfolio of services from a vendor, then the entity ogit/ITService/Catalog might be used, but in this case it seems that this additional entity wouldn't even be necessary.

Hi Catarina,

Various IT Services can be grouped in to “Service Family” and it can be looked at as a Service (OGIT/ITService/Service) belongs to a specific service family.

I can use the (OGIT/ITService/Catalog) for this – but there is no relationship possibly between an (OGIT/ITService/Service and OGIT/ITService/Catalog).

Can you please introduce such a relationship?

Thanks and Regards,

-Satish
