Hey there, @nik-baj! I'm here to assist you with any bugs, questions, or contributions you have. Let's tackle this issue together! I found a similar closed issue related to the 'Swap Dataset' feature in Apache Superset. The issue discusses the problem of replacing a dataset without clearing the dimensions/metrics in controls, but unfortunately, no solution was found in the comments [1]. The message "No form settings were maintained" is triggered when the The 'Swap Dataset' feature has a known limitation where changing the dataset may break the chart if the chart relies on columns or metadata that do not exist in the target dataset [3]. This might be why you're seeing the message about form settings not being maintained. Unfortunately, there isn't a documented solution for this specific issue in the repository. You might need to manually reconfigure the chart settings after swapping the dataset, especially if the new dataset has different columns or metadata. |

Hello All,
I am noticing the following issue and wondering if anyone else experienced this too.
I have a line chart with metrics and dimensions based on a dataset. I had to delete the dataset for this chart and make a new one.
For this, I used the "Swap Dataset" option. But doing so triggers the following message:
Has anyone else experienced this too? If yes, what might be a solution?
How to replicate
Any help would be appreciated.
