Default caching behaviour when using docker-compose

I've managed to get superset running using docker-compose -f docker-compose-non-dev -up, but there's many warnings/errors about caching in the output, such as:

Fatal error loading the DB: Invalid argument. Exiting.
Warning: no config file specified, using the default config. In order to specify a config file use redis-server /path/to/redis.conf

ERROR/MainProcess] consumer: Cannot connect to redis://redis:6379/0: Error -2 connecting to redis:6379. Name or service not known..

UserWarning: Flask-Caching: CACHE_TYPE is set to null, caching is effectively disabled.

The documentation and discussion I found online is a little unclear. I've tried to set up basic caching using the filesystem like this, written to superset_config.py in the project root, to no avail

Does superset have proper caching enabled out of the box?
