I think he means a google maps autocompleted field not just an autocomplete one.
I have the same need, to be able to use the google.maps.places.Autocomplete API to autocomplete address.

That package is unfortunately not that well maintained.

Sad to see there is no update since it was reported 2 years back.

However, I'm trying to add auto-complete in my new Angular 18 project and have added this to the index.html

When using it like this in the component

I am trying to use Google Maps Places API also, but it seems that this is not yet available through this library.
Question for point number 1:
Don't we need to specify at the end of the bootstrap script code something like

key: "YOUR_API_KEY", v: "weekly", libraries: ['places'] ?

Question for point number 2:
Can we still use new google.maps.places.Autocomplete to initialize on the input element the Google places autocomplete functionality as of latest library / Angular version 19?
