This is a feature suggestion, I could implement it if others think it's desirable.
For me seeing the actual hash in the gutter isn't useful as it's meaningless to me I'd rather just see the author and the date.
So there'd be a new preference (defaulted to ticked): [ ] Show commit hash
In doing this I'd make all the pieces in each gutter line one link so you can click on any part to open the link.
