Suggestion received from Isha and her partners to add a new Organisation Role to RSR.

Currently, we have the following organisation roles available in section 03 - Project partners:

  • Funding organisation: a government or organisation that provides funds to the project
  • Implementing organisation: an organisation involved in carrying out the activity or intervention
  • Accountable organisation: an organisation responsible for oversight of the project and its outcomes
  • Extending organisation: an organisation that manages the budget and direction of a project on behalf of the funding organisation
  • Reporting organisation: an organisation that will report this project in an IATI file

Apparently, this is not enough and partner wants to have a new organisation role called 'Technical partner'. They defined the role in the following way:

1. Why you would like the Technical partner role added?
In project agreement or partnership, we have partner who is responsible for supporting lead and implementing partners by providing technical support like research, training and assist partner to accomplish their activity.
2. How would this role differ from those already available in RSR?
Technical partner: an organization that support on technical issues to assist lead or implementing partners for carrying out the activity or intervention.
