Greetings, I am sure some of these have been mentioned, but I just wanted a place to jot down my thoughts on this awesome protocol. I personally feel in its current state, its missing some key features that make it difficult to use versus the VSCode extensions. That said, it does have some key advantages too that I love. I want to see it developed further.
I should be able to flip back through chat histories easily. I see there's a button for it, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't work. At least not with external agents. That's really a bummer. Hope it gets fixed soon, unless I'm just doing it wrong.
Please add a way to make Follow default. It doesn't work pressing CTRL + Enter as the docs say.
Codex allows for Cloud Codex to work on some tasks, and I would argue this is the biggest deal of them all. The reason for this is cloud codex doesn't count towards your limits AND you can have it do up to 4 iterations of the same task. Please work with OAI to get this working if possible. Even though the UX with Follow and Zed is far better than VS in many ways, but this feature alone makes me want to use VS instead. Which I hate lol because zed is great.
Not all the slash commands work?
The last model chosen should be the default on the next thread. I know this is probably a function of Codex, and its pulling it from the CLI, but maybe there's a way for the ACP agent to switch the agent in the CLI so it sticks.
For the love of god, display the context window usage in the window somewhere lol.
Anyway. Thanks for the effort. I am sure you're working on improvements all the time. Cheers
