There is a huge screen tearing when i scroll!

Description

There is a huge screen tearing every time when i want to scroll and i should say i had a screen tearing after installing linux mint but i fixed that and i have no screen tearing out of the brackets editor or except the brackets every things are good or nowhere i can see screen tearing except the brackets editor.
And also i have red dots or red lines between characters or something like little lines with blue or red colours between characters!

Is there any help?

I'm running linux mint cinnamon 19.1 tessa with a nvidia geforce 960m graphic card.

Thanks for reporting this. The red dots and lines seem like a libfreetype issue. Refer to this and see if it helps. #14610

As for screen tearing, can you help us with a screenshot, and even some logs.

• Go to Debug -> Show Developer Tools
• Open Console.
• Copy all the logs that occur when the screen tear happens.

Also, do you use Brackets on some other distro? Have you seen this issue elsewhere?
Could be due some issue with CEF on Linux Mint.

Thanks this #14610 fixes the libfreetype issue and for the screen tearing you were right it's because of nvidia, i have that screen tearing everywhere like firefox scrolling or draging windows!
