Description
Hi,
I'm not sure this is the right place to report this. Apologies if it isn’t.
I’ve noticed that lately the sparks generated by cars have become noticeably dimmer and less realistic in their brightness and glow.
In older CSP versions (for example 0.1.80), the sparks emitted a much stronger and more natural light. In newer builds, they appear more like faint particles with little lighting contribution, especially when zoomed, which reduces visual realism.
I’ve tried adjusting parameters inside particles_fx.ini, but it doesn’t seem to help: the change looks like it comes from a deeper modification to the base shader or particle lighting model itself.
Is this a known issue for you?
I’d be interested in trying to tweak or modify the shader myself to restore the previous brightness levels, but I’m not sure if that’s currently possible, or how it could be done. Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
I’m attaching two reference images and a video to show the difference in brightness and glow between the older and newer builds.
Thank you very much.
