WWW: Create Home page

This issue covers the design and implementation of the Home page for the new www.aboutcode.org website.
The Home page is intended to provide an overview of AboutCode as a family of projects followed by subsections of project cards in logical groups to provide a summary of the project portfolio - the current count of 44 to feature here.

The Supporters section is a placeholder for now. We may want to move that section to the About menu.

I have attached the file Homepage.md with draft text for the Home page including intro sections for the project cards.

I have created an alternative layout for the website Menu items. Instead of major projects the top menu items would be functions with use cases. The text would be function-focused rather than project-focused. For example PURL would be referenced almost everywhere, but not as a top-level menu item.

• Software identification
  • Identify software components and packages
  • Identify software dependencies
  • Consume and generate SBOMs
  • Analyze containers
  • Match binaries to source
• Security
  • Identify vulnerabilities
  • Triage vulnerabilities
  • Manage risks with aggregated vuln data
  • Report exploitability (VEX)
• Compliance
  • Identify licenses for software and for data
  • Apply usage policies
  • Generate SBOMs
  • Generate compliance artifacts (e.g. attribution notices)
  • Compliance automation

Another top-level menu item could be Projects and we could move the project grid there leaving more room on the Home page for summary-level information.

Thanks for the clarification! I took a deeper look and noticed that most of the pages are currently using placeholder text.
Since the focus is on content, do you already have a draft document with the text you want for the pages?

If you have the raw text ready, I can convert it into Markdown/HTML, fixing the formatting and replacing all the dummy placeholders for you.

@navjotmaan These sections are placeholders intentional because we are still developing the content. I will keep you in mind when we get closer with the content.
