Would it somehow be possible to make this only turn on the busylight, when the microphone is in use? (when the Jabra dongle light is green/red)

The current implementation is much better than no light, but it will also turn on just listening to music, where I would be OK with being interrupted.

It seems to me that watching for when the microphone is in use (video meeting) would work much better for me, giving a clear indication that I'm currently in a meeting and should not be interrupted.

Hi,
I agree with you, this behavior is like that since the last PR that remove pulseaudio dependency.

you can download/test the previous version it should work if you have pulseaudio.

I'm actually running pipewire, but have the pulseaudio compatibility stuff installed, so it might work... I'll give it a go, thanks!

I think, there is no information in Jabra api that return the microphone status. if it's the case it will be perfect.

Or maybe the bidirectional audio profile status.
