It seems that it don't work.

I uploaded new images via file admin and tried this function. After this i got alle images twice. Of course the new one only one time.

Using Typo3 7.6.23 and yag 4.2.1 some ideas why it fails?
What are your merging criterials? I often use tinypng to shorten the images, so some information of EXIF can be removed.
