sitemap.xml does not render for WordPress 6.7 in Playground web app

This Playground URL:

Does not render a sitemap, but instead just renders a 404 page. Apparently, the request for /sitemap.xml is not successfully redirected to /wp-sitemap.xml.

@adamziel, I'm not sure but saw there were changes related to the sitemap.xml redirect in WP 6.7 to fix this bug:

"sitemap.xml redirect no longer works when using custom permalinks"
https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/61931

Some possibilities:

• our WP pre-install is not configuring pretty permalinks properly
• there is some conflict with Playground rewrite rules
