This plug-in was working great until this morning. Then I came back to my staging site after a short break and found that I was unable to access the website or back end admin pages. With the help of my hosting provider and some trial and error, it seems that activating Create Block Theme now triggers site wide 503 service unavailable messages.

Hi @lpbevan ! I can't replicate this error.

Have you tried something like this?

  • Deactivating all plugins (including Create Block Theme).
  • Check if the site works ok.
  • Activate Create Block Plugin.
  • Check what happens. If it still fails, please report the error message here.

If you can record a screencast of this process and post it here it would be very helpful to debug the problem.

Hi,
I tried deactivating all plug-ins and reactivating them one by one. This 503 issue occurs as soon as I activate Create Block Theme, even when all other plug-ins are deactivated. It is a bizarre, because up until this morning Create Block Theme was working just fine on this site, with a bunch of other plug-ins running. The error message is:

503
Service Unavailable
The server is temporarily busy, try again later!

I also tried switching to the default Twenty Twenty Four theme before activating the plug-in, with the same result.

The only slightly unusual thing about this site is that it does not have a public DNS registration. I access it via an entry in my laptop's hosts file. I am not sure why it would suddenly stop working though.

Hello @lpbevan,

Could you please share more details about your server environment, such as the web server type (Apache/Nginx) and version, PHP version, and operating system? This may be a version-specific issue. Additionally, if you could provide any relevant entries from your debug.log file, it would help us better understand and troubleshoot the issue.
