Exclude protected pages from sitemap

The password protected pages are being indexed on the sitemap, which prompts google to crawl those pages, reference the noindex page on those, and never comes back once these pages are no longer protected. I wondered if there could be an option to exclude protected pages from the generated sitemap?

As a generic enhancement, I would say giving the ability to exclude pages with a specific custom field would be a nice thing to have, as I had to go back to that issue recently using another field that we are using to flag some pages as "private".
