What I meant by that is that sleep won't work perfectly which I should attribute to CPU Power Management instead. By the way, if you are using older Broadcom Wi-Fi, it will need additional stuff to make them work as Apple dropped support for some of them. I personally am using Intel Wi-Fi, which is working flawlessly. In addition, this repo haven't been updated for a while. Some stuff inside are most likely not up to date as mine. |
Got it! I will troubleshoot the hack this weekend and give you my feedback. Didn't test the sleep yet, but I think if the USB map is correct it should work well. Also make sure you use the latest BIOS version. I tested the internal Intel WiFi/BT that comes with the board and it seems to recognize the card but due to bad USB map it's not working propperly. I will not use it but for the sake of 100% working machine I think it's not hard fix it since I have Intel WiFi/BT cards on my other machines working without a hitch in Sonoma. Keep you posted! Regards |
Here's a working EFI for Ventura. BT is not enabled since I do not intend to use it anyway. Sleep/Wake also works just fine. |
What is meant by sleep should be hibernation instead, apologies for my wordings. Hibernation Mode 3 or 25. Mode 0 (normal sleep) works perfectly |
Hey! I just built the same hack and it works beautifully with the latest MacOS Sonoma (except for the Wi-Fi, needs extra troubleshooting). What is the problem with the firmware with yours ?
