What's the issue you encountered?

Sometimes when you close the current tab, it will move the pattern code from the tab you just now closed into the one that it switches to. When this happens, it will replace whatever code previously existed in the tab that it moved to.

How can the issue be reproduced?

One setup I've been able to use to replicate the bug is to open 3 different tabs (put unique pattern code into each one so you know if the swap happened), select the second tab to activate it, and then close it. During my testing, I always clicked no when it asked about saving the project; the swap didn't happen until I clicked no.
