Walter Berendsohn says yes. Quote:

I heard from Dag that you are thinking about an DwC Hour about ABCD and BioCASE. Thank you very much, we think that this is an excellent idea. However, we have to coordinate this with the other partners in the ABCD-3 project – and, frankly, looking at all the different tasks at hand we probably won’t be in the position to participate with a session before autumn this year. Let us know if this is ok, then we’ll start preparing for the event.

I replied that fall would be just fine and to please send some potential dates.

The focus of an ABCD DwC Hour might be along the lines of (1) origin, history, motivation and purpose for creating the ABCD, (2) new features with the upcoming version 3, https://abcd.biowikifarm.net/wiki/, (3) complementarity with Darwin Core, (4) mapping to Darwin Core including perhaps terms missing in respectively DwC/ABCD, (5) user communities for ABCD (including BioCASE) versus user groups for Darwin Core, (6) extensions to ABCD, ...

This Darwin Core Hour, now in process, likely to be either the second or third week of March 2020.

I should point out (and perhaps we do need a different ticket), considering the proposed Darwin Core Hour in motion will be about BioCASe (including GGBN Gabriele D. and ABCD standards leader David Fitchmeuller). But will not necessarily focus on EFG.
