currently we do it like isodat does it: linearly interpolate sample gas between ref gas cycles
it could be possible that we do a fancier matching of at least the first cycle so that you get a better match?
I tried this in June 2020 but it turned out to increase the uncertainty

we also had the idea to do the calculations based on reference gas cycles from a previous/next measurement averaged, assuming that it was stable enough. Or to change the measurement to measure more cycles of ref gas and then to match sample gas to it statistically. never did it though.

later the LIDI-2 paper showed this approach as well, might still do it!
